    Brilliant short film about the culling of wild camels in the Aussie outback. Camels are an introduced species and devastate plant communities and watering holes, and cause trouble for Aboriginal groups. Without intervention, their populations double every 7 years or so until they number in the millions. #invasivespecies #camel

      Overpopulation of one specie, can be a huge problem that many countries worldwide need to fix, but only by regulating the animals populations, through proper management and control methods. Ethically speaking, the latter must be humane and consistent with legislation relating to animal protection and control. So, all these aggressive killings of defenceless animals, is definitely not the solution to the problem. These animals will breed up again in a few years time. And whats next? More killings?        More ...

      This is a tough problem. They have no natural predators in Australia and without culling, their numbers will grow exponentially into the millions andThis is a tough problem. They have no natural predators in Australia and without culling, their numbers will grow exponentially into the millions and devastate ecological communities and Aboriginal settlements. We introduced camels and I’d say we have a responsibility to keep their numbers in check. The method is cruel but there’s very little funding for these communities and aerial shooting is the most cost effective. How many species will go extinct if we do nothing?  More ...

      Too many! We need to take responsibility and undo some of the harm we’ve caused. We’re at the top of the food chain now but who knows for how long..
