  • I've just joined echo active so here's a brief introduction. I walked almost fifty thousands kilometers around the planet, through 39 countries planting trees and then settled down with my wife Konomi in Aysen, Patagonian Chile on a barren piece of land that has previously been eroded by cattle and sheep. In the nine years since we have created permaculture gardens and a small food forest and now cultivate almost eighty varieties of herbs, fruit and vegetables and have created an educational, cultural experience garden route that now reaches for almost three hundred kilometers along the Carretera Austral, South America's most beautiful highway.
We have planted 1200 native trees and over 100 fruit trees to restore the land and hundreds of other trees and bushes have begun to regenerate naturally. Our gardening techniques, landscaping and forms of construction are being replicated in the region and increasingly government agricultural departments assist our projects and bring groups to our land to study what we do. We will soon be creating a small company to expand our organic seed enterprise and the various value added products that we sell from our garden.
A major focus of our Austral Garden Route are educational workshops that help people achieve financial independence from their land, by establishing a local economy of value added products, such as essential oils, vinegar/s, soap, mushroom collection and cultivation, and more.  https://www.australgardenroute.com
