Echo Active
About Us
Echo Active is a community for nature lovers. We connect people to local ecosystems, share native plants, promote habitat restoration and partner with eco-positive businesses. We also raise awareness about threatened species and ecosystems, our changing climate, and indigenous ways of connecting to country.
We’re a social enterprise built around positive impact. Rather than focusing on ads or endless scrolling, we prioritise real-world connection, biodiversity, and actions that benefit people and ecosystems.
Nodes and events
Our platform is inspired by mycelial networks. Mycelia break down and share nutrients and spawn mushrooms. In the same way, our users create nodes: hubs that represent groups, organisations, topics, or projects. They can also connect to other nodes, and create events. Nodes help ideas flow, bring people together, and help us grow on and offline. — creating nodes and events on Echo Active is also completely free.

Support our native plant giveaways
We’re currently giving away native plants to help people connect with their local environment and support biodiversity. With your support, we can share more plants and grow this community across Melbourne.

Acknowledgment EA was created on the lands of the Wurundjeri of the Kulin nation, a people whose sovereignty has never been ceded. We pay respect to their elders past and present and acknowledge the pivotal role of Aboriginal and first nations people in Australia and around the globe.
